Posted on: July 14, 2013

“Taj” (1956) was produced by Fali Mistry and directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal for Dossi Films Production. The movie had Vyjayanthimala, Pradeep Kumar, Bipin Gupta, Jeevan, Shakuntala, Kammo, Amar, Jajo, Kathana, Qamar, Helen, Roopmala, Ulhas etc in it.

Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth song from the movie. The song is sung by Lata. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hemant Kumar.

Only the audio of this song is available, but it is almost certain that the song was picturised on Vyjyanti Mala.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Atif M.

Song-Bansi ki dhun sun (Taj)(1956) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-Hemant Kumar

Lyrics(Provided by Atif M)

bansi ki dhun sun
tere liye chun chun
laayi hoon main bagiya se gori gori kaliyaan
bansi ki dhun sun
tere liye chun chun
laayi hoon main bagiya se gori gori kaliyaan
nikli hoon chup chup
ghar se main gup chup
aayi hoon sajaane balam teri galiyaan

bhole sajan tere dil ki jalan
main to jaan gayi
jaan gayi
jaan gayi re
bhole sajan tere dil ki jalan
main to jaan gayi
jaan gayi
jaan gayi re
teri nazar kise dhoondhe idhar
main to jaan gayi
jaan gayi
jaan gayi re
teri meethi nazar pehchaan gayi re
duniya se bach bach
kehti hoon sach sach
aayi hoon sajaane balam teri galiyaan
bansi ki dhun sun
tere liye chun chun
laayi hoon main bagiya se gori gori kaliyaan

baanki palak yeh saloni jhalak
mohe maar gayi
maar gayi
maar gayi re
baanki palak yeh saloni jhalak
mohe maar gayi
maar gayi
maar gayi re
teri qasam yeh suratiya balam
mohe maar gayi
maar gayi
maar gayi re
main to baithe bithaaye jiya haar gayi re
dil mera pal pal
kehta tha chal chal
aayi hoon sajaane balam teri galiyaan
bansi ki dhun sun
tere liye chun chun
laayi hoon main bagiya se gori gori kaliyaan
nikli hoon chup chup
ghar se main gup chup
aayi hoon sajaane balam teri galiyaan
