Chaand ko dekh ke kehte hain muhabbatwaale

Posted on: August 13, 2013

“Jungle Ka Jawaahar” (1952) was a Basant Pictures production movie. It was directed by Homi Wadia. The movie had John Cawas, Nadia, Dalpat, Goldstein, Shapur, Agha, Abdulla etc in it.

Here is a song from “Jungle Ka Jawaahar” (1952). The song is sung by Sulochana Kadam. It is a romantic chhaayaageet genre of song that is sung in a moonlit night late at night when there is silence all around and lovers sit together gazing at the sky. The picturisation shows two couple seated that way, and one of them being Nadia and John Cawas. The song is lip synced by the other lady as far as I can tell from the picturisation.

Ferz Jullundhari is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madhulal Damodar Master.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Avinash Scrapwala.

Song-Chaand ko dekh ke kehte hain muhabbatwaale (Jungle Ka Jawaahar)(1952) Singer-Sulochana Kadam, Lyrics-Feroz Jullundhari, MD-Madhulal Damodar Master

Lyrics(Provided by Avinash Scrapwala)

Chaand ko dekh ke
kehte hain muhabbatwaale ae
chaand lenge ke nahin
chaand lenge ke nahin
chaand si sooratwaale
chaand ko dekh ke
chaand ko dekh ke
kehte hain muhabbatwaale ae
chaand lenge ke nahin
chaand si sooratwaale
chaand ko dekh ke

apne dildaar se kyun
jee nahin bharne dete
apne dildaar se kyun
jee nahin bharne dete
kami kis baat ki hai
kami kis baat ki hai
husn ki daulat waale
chaand ko dekh ke
chaand ko dekh ke
kehte hain muhabbatwaale
chaand lenge ke nahin
chaand si sooratwaale
chaand ko dekh ke

baitha hai aaj ataari pe
? ko phere
baitha hai aaj ataari pe
? ko phere
meri kismat bhi banaa de
meri kismat bhi banaa de
tu o kismat waale
chaand ko dekh ke
chaand ko dekh ke
kehte hain muhabbatwaale
chaand lenge ke nahin
chaand si sooratwaale
chaand ko dekh ke
