Song-Saaqiyaa thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai (Nishaan)(1965) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Jawed Anwar, MD-Usha Khanna
Lyrics(Provided by Atif M)
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanoon
kis ne pee hai
saaqiya
yeh mohabbat ka asar hai
dil ki masti hai
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanun
kis ne pee hai
jaam badley huye hain magar
har sharaab ek hai
naam badley huye hain magar
har shabaab ek hai
ek hai husn ki har ada
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanoon
kis ne pee hai
mere behke qadam hain to kya
dil to maasoom hai
pyaar mein bhi hai kitna nasha
tumko maaloom hai
dekh lo dillagi ka maza
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanoon
kis ne pee hai
dhadkanon ke yeh paighaam lo
waqt hai meharbaan
khoobsoorat sa ilzaam lo
darr hai kya jaan-e-jaan
hum farishte hain
na tum khuda
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanoon
kis ne pee hai
saaqiya
yeh mohabbat ka asar hai
dil ki masti hai
saaqiya
thhodi thhodi bekhudi hai
main kya jaanoon
kis ne pee hai

I must listen to this song in the evening when I am home.
I love another song from this film ‘Hai tabassum tera’. I was looking for that song under the tag ‘Nishaan’ but could not find it. I had to do a bit of sleuthing to discover that the song was saved under the tag ‘Nishan’.
I was surprised to discover that Sanjeev Kumar had started his career with such swashbuckling roles. Sweet faced Nazima was his co-star here and another similar role – Raja aur Runk.

When Hari Zariwala who was already an experienced theatre actor debuted in films with screen name of Sanjeev Kumar, he impressed most of the film critics and also movie-goers by the ease and confidence with he had faced the camera and the resultant free-flowing and natural acting. The performance was all the more cridtable since it was in a double role in his very first film.

Sanjeev Kumar can be seen in “Aao Pyar Karen” (1964) in a very minor role. In the song Ye jhuki jhuki jhuki jhuki nigaahen (https://atulsongaday.wordpress.com/2011/08/23/ye-jhuki-jhuki-jhuki-jhuki-nigaahen), he is one of the friends.
Interesting to note that four years after his debut, he would do such a paltry, uncredited role.
