Here is the third Rafi solo beginning with the alphabet ‘C’. And what is better than C for ‘chaand’. The hit song from ‘ Ham kisi se kam nahin ‘ (1977) is composed by R D Burman and written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The iconic song in this film Kya hua tera waada is already posted. One more song viz. Ye ladka haaye allah kaisa hai deewaana has also been posted. I have just revisited that page.

Ah, the crisp voice of Kamal Barot. A sound that is so unique, and then so attractive, in certain scenarios. Granted that this voice may not exhibit as wide a range as some of her more successful peers, but the concern also works the other way round. That the voice, and some more like hers, did not get enough opportunity to develop more. We do find examples of her songs in all genres – except maybe having sung some sort of a cabaret song for Helen. Alas, it was an era dominated by few. And maybe that is what life is about – circumstances and relationships many a time define success, more than talent does.

This song is chosen for its beginning with the alphabet ‘B’. It is a solo song from the obscure film called ‘Ghoonghat”(1946). There is no information on the imdb website about this film.
