“Maaya Baazaar” (1958) was produced by Homi Wadia and directed by Babu Bhai Mistry for Basant Pictures production. The movie had Anita Guha, Raj Kumar(not the famous one),B.M.Vyas, Indira, Mahipal, Ram Singh, Vasant Pehlwan, Ulhas, Sulochana Chatterjee, Kanta Vyas, Shri Bhagwan, Babu Raje, Ratnamala, Nilofar, Ratan Kumar, Samar Roy, Krishna Kumari, Dalpat, Kanhaiya Kaithwas, Kishen, Korega, Manda,Premlata, Ramesh Sinha, T.N.Sinha etc in it.
Here is a song from “Maaya Baazaar” (1958). The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. It is picturised on several female dancers led by a dancer who could be Ratnamala, but confirmation is needed from our knowledgeable readers about her identity.
Gopal Singh Nepali is the lyrics. Music is composed by Chitragupta.

Nice song by Asha Bhosle. I guess Maya Bazaar (1958) was made in many languages back then.

She is not Ratnamala. But I don’t know the real identity of the dancer!
I can recognise Babu Raje, who played Duryodhan’s mad son & Rajkumar (Not Famous one) sitting next to Babu Raje, who played Abhimanyu, lead role opposite Anita Guha (Uttara- niece of Lord Krishna)

Just one doubt, whether she is KAMALA LAXMAN,the dancer who was there in many dance sequences of those days, this is only my fertile imagination , I may be wrong, Am I wrong ???
or Is she the one who dances for Manna Dey`s famous song “lagaa chunri mein daag chhupaaoon kaisse” from Dil hi to hai(namely Padmini Priyadarshinee) Please correct me.

Now I can identify her, she is neither Kamala Lakshman nor Padmini Priyadarshini, she is dancer KANCHANMALA, who is also there in a dance sequence in Bhagam Bhag(1956)
