Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)

hawaa chale kaise
hawaa chale kaise
na tu jaane
na main jaanoon oon
jaane wahi jaane

hawaa chale kaise
hawaa chale kaise
na tu jaane
na main jaanoon oon
jaane wahi jaane
ghataa ude kaise
ghataa ude kaise
na tu jaane
na main jaanoon
jaane wahi jaane

ik pankhdee kaa
haath chupke chupke
phool se titli ne kee
kyaa baat chupke chupke
aa zaraa
karen pataa
woh shaayad
de bataa aa
hawaa chale kaise
hawaa chalee kaise
naa tu jaane
na main jaanoo
jaane wahi jaane

parbaton ke sar pe
jhukti ghataayein
daaliyon ko chhooti
thandi hawaayen
khaamoshi ke lai pe
gaati fizaayein
mastiyon mein doobi
meethi sadaayein
kaho kaun
bheje kaun
kahaan se aaye
kahaan ko jaaye
tum bhi socho
main bhi sochoon
miljul ke boojhe paheli

hawaa chale kaise
hawaa chale kaise
naa tu jaane
naa main jaanoon oon
jaane wahi jaane

bolo barf ki chaadar
kisne daali hai
bolo dhund mein ye dhoop
kisne paa lee hai
kaise meete sapnon kaa

jaadoo chaltaa hai
kaise suraj ugtaa hai
chandaa dhaltaa hai
tumko sab maloom hai teacher
hamko bhi batlaao naa

saat samundar paar
hai ek satrangaa sansaar
usskaa jaadugar sardaar
rakhtaa pariyon ka darbaar
ussko aate khel hazaar
kartaa sab bachchon se pyaar
jaane wahi jaane

I haven’t heard this song in ages. I saw this movie in ’73 and loved this song, and I remember singing it along with my mother. It brings back such good memories, as all good songs do. Thanks, Atul, for bringing a big smile to my face!

hi Lalithaji
long time no see!!!! you still follow Atuldom. Welcome back!!!!

Oh, I definitely follow Atuldom! I comment only when I know the song, and when I have listened to it, which has not been happening frequently of late! But this is still the best place to listen to all my old favorites and I do so every now and then. My only defense is that my personal time seems to have disappeared ever since my husband retired. We end up watching movies or doing other things together and hence my time for listening to songs all by myself is reduced. I have also done more traveling since he retired and that too has meant less time to sit and listen to songs, that’s all, but this blog is never forgotten.

hullo Lalithaji
this means you are having the best time of your life. you are able to travel at will withouyt having to wait for school holidays or husband tellin : “leave nahin hain, have used up all of this years’ leave” etc
and u have company to watch movies. hmm congrats to you. and how is the grand child.
