“Aaye Din Bahaar Ke” (1966) was directed by Raghunath Jhalani for Filmyug Productions. The movie had Dharmendra, Asha Parekh, Balraj Sahni, Nazima, Sulochana, Rajendranath, Raj Mehra, Leela Misra, Dulari, C. S. Dubey, Khurshid, Sunder, Madhu Apte etc in it.
Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from the movie.
This song is sung by Lata. The picturisation shows Dharmendra entering a “jheel” for a relaxing swim, and then he finds his clothes stolen by Asha Parekh. This is like the Krishna-Gopi episode of Krishna Leela with roles reversed. And Dharmendra is just as coy when it comes to coming out of the water.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

maine to suna tha jahaan mein jo haya hai
maine to suna tha jahaan mein jo haya hai
ye to hum jaise haseeno ki ada hai

iske baare mein hai kya khayal
iske baare mein hai kya khayal
oye kamaal oye kamaal oye kamaal
oye kamaal oye kamaal oye kamaal
honthon pe ye aahen nigaahon mein ye paani
hontho pe ye aahen nigaahon mein ye paani
ye to hai mohabbat ke maaro ki nishani
sunle ye zamanna koi samjhe na diwana
aise soni da hai mahiwal
aise soni da hai mahiwal
oye kamaal oye kamaal oye kamaal

oye kamaal oye kamaal oye kamaal

In real life Dharam paaji with the reputation of being a ‘stud-man’ would have come of water and frightened the ladies to the core !!! Or, they would have surprised reaction seeing him with the effect of extreme cold on his body. Ha ha ha……

Dharmendra braved the ice-cold water for the duration of shooting which could be few days. He had remarked ‘meri to kulfi ban gayi thi’
