“Mahua” (1969) was produced, directed and written by Bibhuti Mitra. The movie had Shiv Kumar, Anjana Manjrekar aka Anjana Mumtaz, Premnath, Farah,Asit Sen, Aruna Irani, Murad,Jankidas, Ulhas, Badri Prasad etc in it.
Today (9 january 2014) is the death anniversary of Qamar Jalalabadi. on this occasion, here is a song from “Mahua” (1969). This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised as a seduction song on Farah and it turns out that she is as much related to today’s Farah Khan as the Sajid Khan of 1960s was related to the present day Sajid Khan. In other words, the Farah and Sajid Khan of 1960s were different persons than their present day namesakes.
Others visible in the picturisation are Shiv Kumar, Anjana Mumtaz, Jankidas and Premnath.
Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sonik Omi.

This is a case of ” same name confusion”.
The actress in this film is NOT choreographer Farah Khan,whose date of Birth is 9-1-1965.
There were 3 FARAH named actresses.
1. Farah Khan- b-9-1-1965….Famous choreographer…daughter of actress Menaka and actor/Director Kamran Khan. Her first film as an actress was Jalwa-1987 as a dancer.
2. Farah naaz- b.-9-12-1968 she was actress Tabu’s elder sister and niece of Shabana Azami. Her first film as actress was Faasle-1985. She did some films with Govinda too. Then she got married and left films.
3. Actress Farah- details not known. First film Mahua-1969. She acted in mehmil-72,tarkieb-2000,Censor-2001 Gumnam Katil-2001,Phir Kabhie-1999. She is the actress in the above scene.

hullo atul
reading ur above write up i thought this is a total case of “HADD Paar” onur part. matlab bole toh “hadd ke bhi hadd paar”. ok just bcoz i ve stopped questioning ur abitlity to recognise artists correctly doesn’t mean u keep making mistakes. see the mail i sent u yesterday. it gives u Farah Khan’s DOB. and see the year of this movie… logic lagayiye please!!!!!!!;-)

I have mentioned in an earlier comment that I was confusing Farah Khan with Saroj Khan. Saroj Khan was active in Hindi movies in 1960s.

2nd named Farah Naaz was introduced by Yash Chopra opposite Rohan Kapoor(son of singer Mahendra kapoor) in Faasle and she married Dara Singh`s famous son Vindoo Dara Singh(famous for his alleged cricket match fixing scandal->Vindoo debuted in Hindi movies as a hero in KARAN in 1994)
Farah naaz divorced him and after that Vindoo dara singh married a foreign model and relegated towards playing character/villain roles and also won Big boss(one of its previous seasons)
After divorce Farah Naaz acted in many movies in character roles Hulchul(2005)(as Paresh rawal`s wife),Shikhar(2004)
