“Benaam” (1974) was directed by Narendra Bedi and produced by Ranjeet Virk. The movie had Amitabh Bachchan, Moushmi Chatterjee, Madan Puri, Prem Chopra, Iftekhar, Satyen Kappu, Shobha Khote, Dhumal, Hiralal, Sharat Saxena, Helen, Tuntun, Master Bunty, Narendra Chanchal, Pratima Devi, Viju Khote, Jagdish Raaj, Sapru, Chandu, Deepak, Rajpal, Raju Shreshtha etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Today (24 may 2014) is the death anniversary of Majrooh Sultanpuri (1 October 1919 – 24 May 2000). On this occasion, here is a song from “Benaam” (1974). This song is sung by Lata and it is lip synced as a lullaby song on Mausami Chatterji with Master Bunty and Amitabh Bachchan also visible in the picturisation.
Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.

@ Atul ji – kindly correct the film name in 2nd line of 3rd para as ‘Benaam’ 1974 in place of ‘Phagun’ 1973 please.
