It is just past midnight. It continues to be chillingly cold here in Delhi. The standoff is ongoing in the struggle with the beckoning blankets, as the mind is trying its best to continue staying at the keyboard and thwart all the enticements of a cozy quilt. So far so good.
The sound of bursting crackers and fireworks says that the midnight celebrations have started, and it is time to spread the greetings and cheers, welcoming a fresh, hot-off-the-press 2015. As the minutes start ticking into the new year, my mind floats back to the weeks and months of meeting new friends and cementing the new formed affiliations. Touching points all over India and the globe – an association that is very dispersed, and yet very connected.
Our dear Prakash ji has been doing some great spadework, locating more new year songs for the celebration posts for today. This song is from the 1991 film ‘Baharon Ki Manzil’. The film is produced by P Subba Rao and is directed by Madhav Rao. The star cast includes Rakesh Bedi, Roopesh Kothari, Mona Ambegaonkar, Reema Lagoo, Alok Nath, Jeet Upendra, Sunil Lahiri, Satish Shah, Paresh Rawal, Ajit Vachani etc. The songs of this film are written by Shyam Anuragi, Gauhar Kanpuri, Dev Kohli, and Ravindra Rawal. This song is from the pen of Gauhar Kanpuri. Music is composed by Ram Lakshman. The singing voice is of Suresh Wadkar, accompanied by chorus.
