“Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan” (1967) was produced and directed by Kishore Sahu Sahu. The movie was made by him as a launch vehicle for his daughter Naina Sahu.

The movie had Biswjit, Naina Sahu, Helen, Shiv Kumar, Nazir Hussain, Lalita Pawar, Rajindernath, D.K.Sapru, Mridula, Sabita Chatterji, S.N.Bannerji, G.Asrani, Sumati Gupte, Meena, Master Papu, Brahm Bhardwaj, Jankidas, Tuntun, Pramod Awasthi, Raj Kishore, Surendra Desai, Viki Sahu, Rashmi Chopra, Rakesh, Surinder Singh, Achala Sachdev etc in it.

The movie had failed at the box office. A few songs from this movie had become popular and they have already been discussed in the past. In fact, as many as three (out of six songs in the movie) have already been discussed in the past. Two of those songs were sung by Lata and they were picturised on naina Sahu

Here is the fourth song from the movie. This song is picturised as a party dance song on Helen ! I was not aware of this song and I was certainly not aware that this movie had a Helen song in it. I found this song quite a hummable song on the very first listening.

Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

It is true that a large majority of Helen songs are sung by Asha Bhonsle, but it is not that Helen has not lip synced in other voices. This blog has Helen songs sung by as many as 14 singers, if my count in correct. Apart from Asha Bhonsle, Helen has lip synced in Hindi movies in the voices of Lata, Geeta Dutt, Shamshad Begam, Usha Mangeshkar, Suman Kalyanpur, Runa Laila, Usha Timothy, Usha Khanna, Sudha Malhotra, Sharda, Anuradha Paudwal, Binota Chakraborty etc.

This particular song is sung by Sharda. This song, to my mind is a “heera” of a song from this movie called “Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan”(1967).

Song-Le jaa dil hai tera le jaa (Hare Kaanch Ki choodiyaan)(1967) Singer-Sharda, Lyrics- Shailendra, MD-Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics

le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aaja re aaja re
leja re le ja
aise mein tu aa
le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aaja re aa ja re
leja re le ja
aise mein tu aa
le ja

baat meri sun le zara
dil hai mera pyaar bhara
baat meri sun le zara
dil hai mera pyaar bhara
aaj ki raat suhaani hai
rang pe mast jawaani hai
le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aaja re aaja re
leja re le ja
aise mein tu aa
le ja

main bhi koi
kam to nahin
kaun yahaan mujhsa haseen
main bhi koi
kam to nahin
kaun yahaan mujhsa haseen
meri ada ka jawaab kahaan
aisa rangeela shabaab kahaan
le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aa ja re aa ja re
le ja re leja
aise mein tu aa
le ja

husn mein hai aisa asar
aayega tu khinch ke idhar
husn mein hai aisa asar
aayega tu khinch ke idhar
apni bala se duniya jaley
aaj ki raat kabhi na dhaley
le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aaja re aaja re
leja re le ja
aise me tu aa
le ja
dil hai tera le ja
dil hai tera
aa ja re aa ja re
le ja re le ja
aise mein tu aa
le ja

I think it is not Dinesh Thakur, I can identify Raj Kishore,
Rajinder Nath,Meena.T.(in a princess`s outfit),Biswajeet,Naina Sahu and Shiv Kumar(the guy who lip synced for Rafi`s famous song “donon ne kiyaa tha pyaar, magar, mujhe yaad raha” from Mahuaa
