“”Beqaqoof”(1960) was written, produced and directed by I S Johar. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Mala Sinha, I. S. Johar, Pran, Leela Chitnis, Bipin Gupta, Sabita Chatterjee etc in it.
Seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth song from “Bewaqoof”(1960). The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by S D Burman.
This song, which is the first song of the movie from the start, is a mujra song. The picturisation shows a mujra being performed in the presence of Advocate Rai Bahadur and his wife. The tawaif as well as as Raibahadur’s wife are both expecting rai Bahadur’s children, who would be born and would grow up to become become Pran and Kishore Kumar respectively.
I am unable to identify the two ladies who play the tawaif and the wife of the Raibahadur. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.

Atulji,
Rai bahadur is Bipin Gupta and his wife is Leela Chitnis. One of the dancer not the main is Bela Bose.
