“Taangewaali”(1955) was directed by Lekhraj Bhakri for Kuldip Pictures production, Bombay. The movie had Anita Guha, Balraj Sahni, Nirupa Roy, Shammi Kapoor, Jayant, Gope, Ramesh Thakur, Khwaja Sabir, S K Shukla, Minu etc in it.

Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie. This rare song is sung by Lata. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist and music is composed by Salil Chaudhary.

Only the audio of this song is available. Going by the sounds of it, this song appears to be a mujra song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisaytion of this song.

Song-Sainyya beimaan ne baalam beimaan ne (Taangewaali)(1955) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Prem Dhawan, MD-Salil Chaudhary

aa aa
aa aa aa
baithhe thhe kiye tauba
ham pyaar ki raahon se
dil ko bahut bachaaya
un shokh nigaahon se
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa aa

kal sainyyya beimaan ne
sainyya beimaan ne
baalam beimaan ne
saajan beimaan ne
yoon dekha hamko
to pyaar aa gaya aa aa
sainyaan beimaan ne

ham jaante thhe
ishq ka anjaam bura hai
hona gali gali mein
yoon badnaam buraa hai
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
par koi bhi tadbeer yahaan kaam na aayi
haan ye kaam na aayi
par koi bhi tadbeer yahaan kaam na aayi
ho ke rahi wo baat
jo taqdeer ne chaahi ee ee
ke sainyyya beimaan ne ae
baalam beimaan ne
yoon dekha hamko
to pyaar aa gaya aa
sainyaan beimaan ne

deti hain dil ki dhadkaren
paighaam Salim ka
marte hain phir bhi
lete hain ham naam Salim ka
aa aa aa
aa aa aa
aa aa
par sainyaan beimaan ne
baalam beimaan ne
yoon dekha hamko
to pyaar aa gaya aa
sainyaan beimaan ne

Thanks for the lilting mujra song, one of my favorites. I love the Harmonium pieces in the interlude music.

Some of its songs are classy like the ghodagadi song.
