“Ishwar Bhakti”(1951) was produced by R B Haldia and directed by Gunjal for Shree Shyam Chitra Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Trilok Kapoor, Shalini, Urvashi, Nand Kishore, Sudha Bai, Parvati, Rajni, Kamlakant, Chaman Puri, Saroop etc in it.

This forgotten mythological movie had eleven obscure songs in it. Here is the first song from “Ishwar Bhakti”(1951) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rafi. Narendra Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sonik-Giridhar who I guess could be a music director duo.

Only the audio of this rare song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

I have not been able to get a word right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections in the lyrics as applicable.

With this song, “Ishwar Bhakti”(1951) makes its debut in the blog.

Song-Jeewan dhoop chhaaon ka khel (Ishwar Bhakti)(1951) Singer-Rafi, MD-Narendra Sharma, MD-Sonik Giridhar

Lyrics

dhoop chhaanv ka khel jeevan
dhoop chhaanv ka khel
dhoop chhaanv ka khel jeevan

sukh dukh hans kar jhel

jeevan dhoop chhaanv ka khel

behti chali samay ki dhaara
samay ki dhaara
behti chali samay ki dhaara
bajta saanson ka do-taara

dhoop chhanv ka khel jeevan
dhoop chhaanv ka khel

‘haasil ?? ka mel’ should be ‘haas-rudan ka mel’.

Thanks for the correct word.

Please correct it to read Sonik, Giridhar or Sonik-Giridhar
Sonik
Mamta (1952)
Is Sonik the same as Sonik from Sonik-Omi? Should be; whatsay.
