“Aaye Din Bahaar Ke” (1966) was produced by J Omprakash and directed by Raghunath Jhalanai for a Fimyug Production, Bombay. The movie had Dharmendra, Asha Parekh, Balraj Sahni, Nazima, Sulochana, Rajendranath, Raj Mehra, Leela Misra, Dulari, C. S. Dubey, Khurshid, Sunder, Mubarak, Madhu Apte etc in it.

Today (24 january 2013) is the 86th birth anniversary of J Omprakash (24 january 1927). He is the producer (and often director too) of some of the well known movies of yesteryears viz. “Aas ka panchhi” (1961), “Aayi Milan Ki Bela” (1964), “Aaye Din Bahaar Ke” (1966), “Aaya Saawan Jhoom Ke” (1969),”Aankhon Aankhon Mein”(1972), “Aapki Kasam” (1974), “Aandhi” (1975), “Apnaapan”(1977),”Aasha” (1980), “Arpan”(1983) etc.

From the above titles, it can be noticed that all these titles begin with the letter “A” and he maintained this record till his final movie, viz. “Afsaana Dilwaalon Ka” (2001). 🙂

One may wonder if he is related to Ekta Kapoor. 🙂

No, he is not related to Ekta Kapoor rather he is related to Roshans’ through the marriage of his daughter who was married to Rakesh Roshan. That way he is the grand father of Hrithik Roshan. He would be the samdhi of musiic director Roshan, if Roshan were alive at the time when his daughter got married to Rakesh Roshan in 1970s.

On this occasion, here is a song from “Aaye Din Bahaar Ke” (1966). This chhed chhad song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Dharmendra and Asha Parekh, with Rajendranath, playing the sidekick of Dharmendra also visible. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Song-Phoolon se mukhde waali nikli hai ik matwaali (Aaye Din Bahaar Ke)(1966) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD-Laxmikant Pyarelal

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)

phoolon se mukhde waali
nikli hai ik matwaali
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair
le thhaam le meri baahein
oonchi neechi hain raahein
kahin phisal na jaaye pair
khudaayaa khair
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair

(Bandar)

kyaa haal nazaaron ka hogaa
kyaa rang bahaaron ka hogaa
ye husn agar muskaayaa to
ye husn agar muskaayaa to
kyaa ishq ke maaron kaa hogaa
ho o haayye haayye ae
matwaale naain hain aisey
taalaab mein yaaron jaise
do phool rahe hon tair
khudaayaa khair
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair

har ek adaa mastaani hai
ye apne waqt ki raani hai
jo pehli baar sunee maine
jo pehli baar sunee maine
yeh woh rangeen kahaani hai
ho ho ho
maujon ki tarah chalti hai
shabnam se yeh jalti hai
kaliyon se bhi hai bair
khudaayaa khair
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair

phoolon se mukhdewaali
nikli hai ik matwaali
gulshan ki karne sair
khudaayaa khair
ho kahin phisal na jaaye pair
khudaayaa khair

Rakesh R was obliged to marry her as JOP was mentor and godfather to him. She may not be his first choice.
