“Nateeja”(1969) was produced by Jugal Kishore and is directed by Rajesh Nanda. The movie had Vinod Khanna and Bindu in lead roles (both making their debuts) alongwith KN Singh, Jugal Kishore, Junior Mehmood etc in it as well.
The movie had six songs in it. Five of these spongs have been covered in the past.
Here is the sixth and final song from “Nateeja”(1969) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Kamal Barot, Usha Timothy, Shamshad Begam and Usha Khanna. Though there were two lyricists in the movie, the lyricist of this song is not known. Music is composed by Usha Khanna.
The song is picturised as a diversion cum villain’s den song. The hero (Vinod Khanna) is tied up in the villain’s den and this song and dance by four ladies in the standard filmy way of trying and rescuing the hero. I can identify Bindu (lip syncing in Shamshad Begam’s voice) and Jayshree T (lip syncing in Usha Khanna’s voice). There is one extremely short “lady” who is none other than Junior Mehmood in drags who lip syncs in Usha Timothy’s voice). I am unable to identify the lady who lip syncs in Kamal Barot’s voice. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actors visible in the picturisation of this song.
Kamal Barot sings a few Gujrati lines, Usha Timothy a few Marathi lines, while Shamshad Begam sings a few lines in Punjabi. I have failed miserably to get these words right. I request our knowledgeable readers to help fill in the correct words in the lyrics. It is only Usha Khanna’s portion of the song, where she sings in “Hyderabadi” that I feel I have noted down correctly.
The dance performance is quite a “jhatkedaar” performance, especially by Jayshree T.
With this song, “Nateeja”(1969) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

i always thought that Man Ka Meet was Vinod Khanna’s first film where he debuted along side Leena Chandavarkar, & Som Dutt. but i am always learning new things from this blog.
i am sorry for all these queries but i think Bindu has bween there in the movies since 1962 Anpadh where she palyed Mala Sinha’s daughter and sang “Jiya le gayo ji mora saawariya” to Sudhir
Madam,
You are absoultely right. Vinod Khanna’s debut was as a villain in “Man Ka Meet”, a film produced by Sunil Dutt for promoting his brother Som Dutt in 1968. This film had a lot of ‘flesh’ (skin showing) scenes inasmuch as the tabloid Blitz in its review had then titled it “Woman ka Meat”. Nateeja was released in 1969.
