“Chamakti Bijli”(1946) was produced by Homi Master for Central Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Sulochana, E Bilimoria, M Elizer, Chemist, Suleman, Ghani, Sheikh, Mehnidi Raza, Mohammad Ali, Shrimati Nadira etc in it.

This extremely obscure movie had nine equally obscure songs in it. Pt Bhardwaj is mentioned as the lyricist for six of these songs. No details are available for the lyricists of other songs. Names of singers are not known for any of the songs.

Here is the first song from “Chamakti Bijli”(1946)”to appear in the blog. This song is sung by a female singer. The voice has some resemblence to Rajkumari but I cannot be sure. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the singer.

The uploader of this song mentions Saraswati Kumar Deepak as the lyricist. I am sure he must have read this detail in the record of this song. Music is composed by Vasant Kumar Naidu.

Only the audio of this “sales pitch” genre of song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

With this song, “Chamakti Bijli”(1946) makes its debut in the blog.

Song-Tum le lo tum le lo(Chamakti Bijli)(1946) Singer-Unknown female voice, Lyrics-Saraswati Kumar Deepak, MD-Vasant Kumar Naidu

Lyrics

tum le lo
tum le lo
tum le lo batuwe bhaai
tum le lo
tum le lo
tum le lo batuwe bhaai

keemat hai inki ek ek aana
keemat hai inki ek ek aana
jaane waalon lete jaana
keemat hai inki ek ek aana
jaane waalon lete jaana

main batuwe see kar laayee
main batuwe see kar laayee
tum le lo
tum le lo
tum le lo batuwe bhaai

kyaa haalat hai ham dukhiyon ki
kyaa haalat hai ham dukhiyon ki
tum izzat waalon kya jaano
kya jaano
kya ham par roz guzarti hai
kya ham par roz guzarti hai
tum daulat waalon kya jaano
kya jaano
tum aish mein doobe rehte ho
tum aish mein doobe rehte ho
ham fikr mein uljhe rahte hain
ham fikr mein uljhe rahte hain
kuchh soch vichaar karo bhai
kuchh soch vichaar karo bhai
main hoon darzan
dard sataayi
main hoon darzan
dard sataayi
tum le lo
tum le lo
tum le lo batuwe bhaai
tum le lo
tum le lo
tum le lo batuwe bhaai
