“Dhadkan” (1947) was directed by Zahoor Raja for Raja Movietone, Bombay. This by now forgotten movie had Zahoor Raja, Jyoti, Mishra, Murad, Chandrika etc in it.

The movie had nine songs in it. Some details are available in HFGK only for two of these songs.

Here is a song from “Dhadkan” (1947) whose details are not available in HFGK. On listening to this song, one can make out that it is sung by Shamshad Begam, with a couple of words uttered by a male voice (who could be G M Durrani).

Lyricist of this song is not known. Zahoor Rana, who had his fingers in several pies in the movie, could well be the lyricist, seeing that his name figures as lyricist in the two songs whose details are available.

G M Durrani is the music director.

Only the audio of this song is available.

I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.

With this song, “Dhadkan” (1947) makes its debut in the blog.
