“Dr Shaitaan”(1960) was produced by Ram Kumar and it was directed by Shriram Bohra for Bohra Brothers production, Bombay. The movie had Premnath, Shakila, Sheikh Mukhtar, Sunder, Tiwari, Sheikh, Helen, Nasreen, Nazi, Indira, Ramkumar, Rajan Kapoor, Ramlal, Mahendra, Maqbool, Mirajkar, Kamaol Sharma etc in it.
Here is the story of this by now forgotten movie, as recounted by Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh, our beloved inhouse encyclopaedia:
Dr. Shaitaan – 1960, is an interesting film, provided you leave your brains and reasoning power and logic at home before venturing to see this film. (I remember having seen this film, as I was an ardent fan of Shaikh Mukhtar those days.) The film, a Bohra Brothers production is produced by Ramkumar and directed by Shriram Bohra. The dialogues, story and screenplay is by Ramprakash Ashq.
Dr. Ashok (Premnath) is an internationally famous scientist, who has vowed to keep this world in peace, come what may. This of course, is not what Dr. Shaitaan (Sheikh Mukhtar) thinks. He wants to rule the world. He gets hold of atomic power. He uses it to give life to his dead henchmen. Dr.Shaitan creates chaos, destruction and mass killings. The police are helpless. They can’t find Dr. Shaitaan. The police contact Dr. Ashok, who is busy with his work whenever he is free from singing songs and meeting his beloved Asha (Shakila). Ashok accepts the challenge. When Dr. Shaitaan learns about this, he (naturally) kidnaps Asha to bargain with the police. Dr. Ashok produces a weapon which will kill Dr. Shaitaan, despite his atomic power.
With the help of police, Dr. Ashok enters Dr. Shaitaan’s den a la James Bond style and not only rescues Asha but also kills Dr. Shaitaan, for the greater good of the mankind. Dr. Ashok is honored by the government and privately given a special prize by Asha !
Thus the world is saved.
This movie had six songs in it. Five of these songs have been discussed in the past.
Here is the sixth and final song from “Dr Shaitaan”(1960) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. N Datta is the music director.
This song is a western style rock and roll song which was a popular genre of song in Hindi movies in those days, especially in crime thriller movies which this movie certainly was.
With this rocking and rolling song, “Dr Shaitaan”(1960) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

The year of the movie needs to be corrected to 1960 ( if it is so) at two places in the above write-up please.
