“Jai Bheem”(1949) was directed by Anant Mane for Navjhankar Productions, Bombay. The movie had Vishwas, Vasant Thengdi, Gramopadhye, Jeewaaji Kulkarni, Ganpat Rao, Vikas, Javdekar, Uma Devi, Kusum, Deshpande, Gangubai Kanwle, Manaji Rao, Afle, Dongre, Manjrekar, Kanta Kumari, Subodhini, Pramila Chavan etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it. Here is the first song from the movie to appear in the blog.
This song is sung by Lalita Deulkar. Amar Verma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sudhair Phadke.
Only the audio of this extremely rare song is available. Assuming that this movie tells the tale of Bheem, the second out of five Pandav brothers of Mahabharat epic, then this song must have been sung by the character playing Hidimba. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
With this lovely song, “Jai Bheem”(1949) makes its debut in the blog.
Dil ko dukhiya bana ke(Jai Bheem)(1949) Singer-Lalita Deulkar, Lyrics-Amar Verma, MD-Sudhir Phadke
Lyrics
Dil ko dukhiya bana ke
aansoo baha ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
Dil ko dukhiya bana ke
aansoo baha ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
ham chale thhe
ye jeewan ki naiyya liye
ham chale thhe
ye jeewan ki naiyya liye
haay majhdhaar mein
chhod kar chal diye
haay majhdhaar mein
chhod kar chal diye
mujh ko do din hansa ke
sau din rula ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
Dil ko dukhiya bana ke
aansoo baha ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
main tere sang
jaa rahi thhi chali
main tere sang
jaa rahi thhi chali
muskuraati huyi
geet gaati huyi
muskuraati huyi
geet gaati huyi
geet raste mein aa ke
baahen odhaa ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
dil ko dukhiya bana ke
aansoo baha ke
chale bhi gaye wo
ghar aa ke
