Hullo Atuldom
Choosing a song for today’s post was not so easy. We are celebrating our beloved Kishore Kumar’s 92nd birthday and seem to have run out of all popular songs. Songs that are played on the repeat on music channels and FM radio are not for us. We, a tribe that is called Atulites, living in Atulsongaday.me kingdom (Atuldom for short) are not satisfied with oft-repeated songs.

Today’s song is from the film Paisa-1941. This was the first film having the word ‘Paisa’ in its title. After this film, every decade, there were films having the word Paisa in its title. In 1956 – Paisa hi Paisa, in 1957- Paisa, in 1969- Paisa ya Pyar, in 1974- Paise ki Gudiya, in 1985- Paisa yeh Paisa, in 1992- Paise ke Peechhe, in 2001- Paisewali, and in 2004- Paisa Vasool. Obviously, the importance of Paisa had established itself in the film industry !

Today’s song is from the film Duniya Tumhari hai-1942. This was a social film made by Pawar Pictures- owned by the Director G.P.aka Ganapatrao Pandurang Rao Pawar. The name G.P.Pawar instantly reminds us of Lalita Pawar. He was her first husband. Before and also after marriage Pawar was director of most films of Lalita Pawar. They had a son- Jai Pawar.
