Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 64

This date ten years ago (viz 7 July 2012) saw six songs from six different movies getting covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

We can see from the above table that three movies (out of six) whose songs were covered ten years ago have since been YIPPEED. That leaves us with three movies wjose songs are still available to be covered. So these three movies are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (7 July 2022).
“Minister”(1959) was one of the eligible movies. It was produced by K M Khan and Begum Jaan and directed by Ramanlal Desai for Jahangir Productions. The movie had Sohrab Modi, Roopmala, Suresh, Jeevan, Bhagwan, Om Prakash, Tuntun, Murad, Sulochana, Baby Naaz, Gopi Krishna, Reshma, Jagadish Kamal, Narbada Shankar, Indira Bansal etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it. Three songs have been covered so far.
Here is the fourth song from “Minister”(1959) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Rafi , Lata and chorus. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.
It appears that Madan Mohan was under instructions to compose an O P Nayyar like composition. That is what his song sounds like. O P Nayyar never used the voice of Lata Mangeshkar in his compositions. This song gives us an idea how Lata Mangeshkar would have sounded like in an O P Nayyar composition.
Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.
