Today 18th Dec’2022 is the eighty second birth anniversary of Singer Krishna Kalle (18.12.1940 – 15.03.2015). She was a known name in Hindi, Kannada and Marathi Film Music during the decades of sixties and seventies. She has sung over two hundred songs in Hindi Films.
As a tribute to her on her birth anniversary today, I am presenting a song from the ‘1976’ movie ‘Meeraa Shyaam’.
“Meeraa Shyaam-1976” was directed by Satish Kumar for ‘K. Mamta Films, Bombay’. It had Kanan Kaushal, Ashish Kumar (the ‘Jai Santoshi Maa’ pair), and Abhi Bhattacharya, Jairaj, K.N. Singh, Gajanan Jagirdar, Manmohan Krishna, B.M .Vyas, Anant Marathe, Mohan Shery, Chand Usmani, Leela Mishra, Sanjana, Tun Tun, Satyadeep, Mala, Vandana, Master Kapil, Baby Rehana, Master Alankar, Keshto Mukherjee and others.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 21.07.1976.

Today’s song is a ‘meera bhajan’ and as mentioned above it is sung by Krishna Kalle. It is a very sweet melodious song composed by Govind-Naresh who makes their debut as music composer on this blog today.
Also with today’s song this movie ‘Meeraa Shyaam-1976’ makes its debut on the blog today.
I guess this movie is an obscure movie of its time. Video of this movie or its songs seems to be unavailable.
I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie and its songs.
