“Trunk Call”(1960) was produced by Kanwal Nayyar and T C Dewan and directed by Balraj Mehta for MayFair films, Bombay. The movie, a “stunt” movie had Shyama, Abhi aka Abhi Bhattacharya, Pran, Shammi, Randhir, Helen, Uma, Rajan Haksar, Keshov, Dolly, Nazir Kashmeri, Henry, Chander Kumar, K.L.Kapoor, Darshan etc in it.
“Trunk Call”(1960) had six songs in it. One song has been covered so far.
Here is the second song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Qamar jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ravi.
Only audio of this rare song is available. From the sounds of it, this song could be a club dance song. Seeing that Helen is there in the cast, this song could well be picturised on her. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
