In this post I am presenting a song from the movie ‘Phandaa-1975’. I had earlier presented a song from this movie in ‘2014’ on the blog. This song was ‘tujhe jaan e wafaa keh doon’ sung by Rafi Saab. As mentioned in that post I got to watch this movie in our colony club during 1975-1976.
Such (read ‘flop’) movies were easily accessible to the ‘club committee’ who must be getting them on lower prices. During that period I got to watch many older ‘black & movies’ as well. As a child I could not aappreciate them. It is only that that I realize how valuable all these movies and there prints were because as years passed some of them have become obscure and some of them have been lost with time. In some cases even the songs are also not available. In the case of this movie, when I shared the Rafi song it was the only song available. I did not have much information about this movie. But now equipped with HFGK, I can share some information about this movie here.
“Phandaa-1975” was directed by Somesh Joshi and V. Mhatre for ‘Suraj Films’. Its star cast included Rakesh Pandey, Nazneen, Madhu Malini, Iftekhar, Raza Murad, Suresh, Abhi Bhattacharya, Leela Mishra, Tun Tun, Mushtaq Merchant, Romeo, Rajrani, Vishva Mehra, Madhumati, Seema Kapoor, Sujata, Poonam, Uma Dutt, Devender and others.
Sujit Kumar, Rohin Kamal and Bindu had a special appearance in this movie..
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 01.0.1975.
“Phandaa-1975” has four songs. Three were written by Shakir Kotwi and one by Indeevar.
Music for this movie was composed by N. Datta.
As mentioned above, one song from this movie has been presented on the blog earlier on 25.12.2014.
Today’s song is the second song from this movie being presented here. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle and lyrics are by Indeevar.

The today’s composition is a nice one to listen to and I guess this song is a ‘club-dance’ song and may have been picturised on Bindu in the movie.
