“Radha Krishna”(1954) was produced by G P Sippy and directed by Raja Nene. The movie had Kamini Kaushal, Ratan Kumar, Agha, Jankidas, Vasantrao Pehalwan, Rajan Kapoor, Rajkumar, Maruti, Indu Pal, Ruby Pal, Shakuntala, Shanta Kunwar, Autaar Krishna, Kalyan Bhatia, Chandrakant Shukla, Zarina, Shireen, etc in it.
“Radha Krishna”(1954) had nine songs in it. Three songs from the movie have been covered in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Radha Krishna”(1954) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Pt Narendra Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by S D Burman.
I notice that S D Burman and Pt Narendra Sharma collaborated in only three movies, namely “Afsar”(1950), “Jeewan Jyoti”(1953) and “Radha Krishna”(1954). “Afsar”(1950) and “Jeewan Jyoti”(1953) are already YIPPEED in the blog.
S D Burman collaborated with Lata Mangeshkar in 54 movies that yielded 179 songs. Pt Narendra Sharma worked with Lata Mangeshkar in 15 movies and 55 songs. But when it comes to the combination of S D Burman, Pt Narendra Sharma and Lata Mangeshkar, they came together only in one movie, viz “Radha Krishna”(1953). Their collaboration led to two solo songs. This song under discussion is the first such song to appear in the blog.
