He has worked with top stars like Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor, Jitendra, Hema Malini, Sri Devi, Moushumi Chatterjee. His wife, Juthika Mitra is a producer-writer.

The film belongs to the genre of action-comedy. While watching the film, its slapstick comedy did not evoke laughter in me and the actions scenes looked pedestrian without giving me a feeling of ‘wow’. The story of the film is as under:

Sundar Singh (Sundar) and his wife, Lajwanti (Leela Mishra) stay in their village with their two sons, Bheema (Amjad Khan) and Krishna (Randhir Kapoor). The third son, the youngest Vijay (Raj Kiran) after graduation has shifted to Mumbai where he is a police inspector. Bheema is a simpleton and a naïve son who can be fooled by anybody, while Krishna is a hot-headed person. Sundar is worried that Bheema and Krishna while away their time in the villages watching wrestling bouts thus neglecting their agricultural land. Sunder wishes to improve the income from his agricultural land for which he requires money to buy a tractor. His third son Vijay assures him that he would arrange bank loan for the same but he required margin money of Rs.20000/- to buy the tractor with the bank loan.

Bheema and Krishna leave the villages with Rs.20000/- arranged through selling Lajwanti’s jewelry and pledging their agricultural land to a moneylender. They reach Mumbai and stay with their brother, Vijay. While arriving in Mumbai, Krishna accidentally meets Geeta (Ranjeeta Kaur) and Bheema meets Titli (Asha Sachdev) a smart scammer who fools a naïve Bheema couple of times to spare some money despite cautioning about her by Inspector Vijay. After some humourous incidences, Krishna falls in love with Geeta and she reciprocates. But Krishna does not know that she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, Girdhari (Madan Puri) who has chosen

Shakti (Shakti Kapoor), a smuggler, as his prospective son-in-law.

One day, Geeta is about to be molested by a street hooligan when Bheema rescues her after which he scolds her for indulging in pickpocketing. Geeta forcibly takes him to her house to prove that her father (Shivraj) is seriously ill and she needed money for his medical expenses. Hee father pleads with Bheema that after him, he should look after his daughter and he dies. Being a simpleton and kind-hearted person, Bheema gets married to Geeta in a temple and brings her in Vijay’s home. Being known the background of Geeta, it is not proper to him to allow Geeta to stay in his house who has bad police records. He decides to send Bheema back to the village with Geeta and the tractor.

Vijay has intercepted a jeep carrying the smuggled gold. Shakti and his father (Jeewan) decides to teach Inspector Vijay. He sends team of his henchmen to kidnap Inspector Vijay. But Bheema and Krishna repulse their attempt without the knowledge of Vijay. At the same time, Geeta was going in her car when she sees Krishna. As a fun, she picks up his cap and drives away. Krishna follows her on this tractor which he has taken the delivery on the same day. She drives inside her bungalow and Krishna follows her. Due to not having sufficient experience in driving the tractor, Krishna dashes his tractor with many things on the way damaging the garden. Geeta’s father, Girdhari asks Shakti to burn the tractor. Infuriated by the loss of the tractor, Krishna and Bheema enter the bungalow and fights with the security staff injuring many of them. The police is called and Inspector Vijay reaches in to take both his brothers in custody and put them in the lock-up. Next day, somehow, Vijay convinces Girdhari to take back his FIR which he does after getting an assurance from Vijay that both of them would be sent to their village.

However, in the back of Bheema’s mind, he does not want to go back to the village without the tractor. Instead, both the brothers stay in Titli’s house without the knowledge of Vijay. But the question remains as to how to get a new tractor. Titli suggests to ‘kidnap’ Geeta which will force Girdhari to give them a new tractor in lieu of Geeta. Girdhari comes with a bag containing the ransom amount and the exchange takes place. However, the bag gets lifted from the hands of Bheema by a mentally deranged man. In the scuffle, the bag gets thrown out and a bomb-blast takes place.

When Geeta comes to know about the trick played by her father, she invites both Bheema and Krishna to her house to get them their amount needed to buy a tractor. In her house, Girdhari reveals to Geeta that he has decided to get her married to Shakti. Geeta rejects her father’s marriage proposal and tells him that she dislikes Shakti. But he insists that she will get married to Shakti in a couple of days and asks Shakti to make the all the arrangements for the marriage. When Bheema comes to know about the impending marriage of Geeta with Shakti, he assures Krishna that he will ensure that in the marriage hall, it will not be Shakti but Krishna who will get married to Geeta.

Shakti’s father has arranged for the exchange of smuggled diamonds for money during a disco dance programme. This secret information is leaked to Inspector Vijay by a girlfriend of Shakti as a revenge for breaking his promise for marrying her and instead he is scheduled to marry Geeta in a couple of days. Her conversation is heard by Bheema and Krishna and assures the lady that they will be there to help her.

At the disco dance programme, Bheema and Krishna attends the programme in disguise while Inspector Vijay is present in his normal dress. However, Shakti is able to escape with bag containing smuggled diamonds and take shelter in Girdhari’s house to be present as a bridegroom for marrying Geeta. Bheema and Krishna follow him but disguised as priests. They manipulate to replace the bride from Geeta to a different girl. While the marriage ceremony is going on, Sudha enters the room where Shakti has concealed the bag containing diamonds and picks up the bag. By this time, Shakti comes to know that it is a sham marriage. He threatens Girdhari with his gun and gets back the bag. He escapes to his den where he is cornered by Inspector Vijay and his two brothers. The bag is handed over to the police and Girdhari gifts a tractor to Bheema and Krishna.

The film ends with all three brothers with their brides travelling to their native place where their grand marriages await them.

The film had six songs (one song in dual version) written by Farooque Kaiser (4), Gauhar Kanpuri (1) and Anjaan (1) which were set to music by Bappi Lahiri. The film makes its debut on the Blog with its 1st song, ‘gumsum gumsum kyun rahte ho gumsum’ rendered by Asha Bhosle who sings for Shoma Anand. The song is written by Farooque Kaiser whose lyrics points to a romantic and playful song of a seductive nature. There is some sort of teasing in the lyrics like ‘naheen sambaalo dil ko itnaa kyaa ye chaandee sonaa hai’ and ‘janaab-e-aali kabse khaalee dil kaa konaa konaa hai’.

The context of the song is that Inspector Vijay (Raj Kiran) has come to the house of his police chief (Jagdish Raj) discussing a planned raid on a smuggler. The police chief finds Vijay suffering from a bad cold, He tells his daughter Sudha (Shoma Anand) to give Vijay a small dose of brandy before he discusses the matter and walks away. Actually, police chief has facilitated the development of the romantic advancement for Sudha who is attracted toward Vijay. But Vijay is not interested in romance. Sudha, in a lighter vein, threatens Vijay that she would drink the entire brandy from the bottle, if he does not take part in conversation with her. Vijay does not heed. She does the drama of having consumed the entire brandy in the bottle after which the seductive song follows.

Incidentally, the tune of antaras in the song seems to be inspired from the antara tune of “pyaar deewaanaa hotaa hai mastaanaa hotaa hai”.
