Shahanshah (1953) was produced under the banner of G P Sippy Productions and directed by Amiya Chakraborty. The star cast included Ranjan, Shakila, Kamini Kaushal, K N Singh, Agha, Mukri, Achala Sachdev, Cuckoo, Neeru, Ramesh Sippy etc. With Ranjan as the hero, it is apparent that the film belonged to the genre of action/costume drama.
