The movie had Amita, Mahipal, Chandrashekhar, Hiralal, Kammo, Sundar, Ram Mohan, Vazir Mohammad Khan, Kesri, Romesh Thakur, Dubey, Kanchanmala, Visva, Sheila Vaz, Radheshyam, Shashimala, Ramlal, Shetty, Krishn Duggal, Govind, Bakshi, Dinanath, Nadir Mota, Baijnath, Sadhgana etc in it.

This day ten years ago (viz February 2011) saw six songs from six different movies getting covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

Ten years later, three movies whose songs were covered in the blog have been YIPPEED. Songs from the other three unYIPPEED movies can only be covered as part of Blog Ten Year Challenge today. Out of these three eligible movie, balance songs of “Taangaawaali” (1955) are not available. That leaves us ith “Kabhi Andhera Kabhi Ujaala”(1958) and “Elaan”(1971) as the only two movies hose songs arae available and can be taken up for discussion today.

Today’s song is from the movie ‘Sachche Ka Bol Baala-1958’. This movie had made its debut on the blog on 15.12.2013 with its song ‘gorey gaal pe til kaala kaala’. For nearly seven years, this remained the only song from this movie in the blog.
Today we are adding one more song from this movie. this song is a duet song like the first one. It is sung by Mohd Rafi and Asha Bhonsle.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 87

Welcome all to the ‘Blog Ten-Year Challenge’ series where today we will have a song after a gap of almost a month. Last song posted under the ‘challenge’ was on 25.09.2020.
We missed some opportunities, but today hopefully we will have two songs in this challenge.
If we see the songs posted ten years back on this day (20.10.2010), we had only three posts on that day as given below;

Mehmood Ali (29 September 1932 – 23 July 2004), popularly known simply as Mehmood, was an Indian actor, writer, singer, director and producer best known for playing comic roles in Hindi films. Today we are celebrating his 88th birth anniversary. Only other person I can think of with so many talents is Kishore Kumar. Even that I am not sure if, Kishore Kumar ever wrote any film stories though he is credited as a song writer, I think.

“Son of Sindbad” and “Daughter of Sindbad” were both released in 1958. So it seems to me that they were twins. 🙂
“Daughter of Sindbad”(1958) was directed by Ratilal for Starland Productions movie, Bombay. The movie had Jairaj, Nadira, Pran, Maruti, Tiwari, Kamal Kapoor etc in it. The movie had eight songs in it. One song has been covered in the past.
