“Love Marriage” (1959) was a movie starring Dev Anand and Mala Sinha. I have no idea how the movie fared at the box office, but the music of the movie is absolutely top class.

In west , Valentine day is the day earmarked for love. In India, on the other hand, an entire season, viz the rainy season is earmarked for love.
And that affords plenty of opportunity for Bollywood movie makers to slip in a love song or two.

In late 1950s, party songs based on western music and accompanied by a dance by a female had become a rage in Bollywood movies. “Mera Naam chin Chin Choo” from “Howrah Bridge” (1958) is a good example of such a song. This song was sung by Geeta Dutt and it was picturised on Helen.
