Song-Dil tu hamaar lai le (Jaalsaaz)(1969) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Farooque Kaiser, MD-G S Kohli

Lyrics

dil tu hamaar lai le
thhoda thhoda pyaar dai de
dil tu humaar lai le
thhoda thhoda pyaar dai de
jahaan mein charche honge
log kya kehte honge
meri kasam
keh de sanam
humko daga na dai bey
dil tu humaar lai le
thhoda thhoda pyaar dai de
dil tu humaar lai le

nain tumse miley
ho o o o o o
nain tumse miley
mil ke sharma gayey
dil machalne laga
hum to lehra gaye
jis taraf dekhiye
tum hi tum ho sanam
ae mohabbat bata
hum kahaan aa gaye
baar baar mera manva doley
dol dol kar bas ye boley
meri kasam
keh de sanam
humko daga na dai bey
dil tu humaar lai le
thhoda thhoda pyaar dai de
dil tu humaar le le

door baithho nahin
ho o o o
door baithho nahin
paass aaya karo
log jalte rahey
tum jalaaya karo
pyaar mera kabhi
kam na hoga zara
mere dilbar mujhe aajmaaya karo
chhod chhod ye waade jhoothhe
neend chain kyun mera loote
meri kasam
keh de sanam
humko daga na dai bey
dil tu humaar lai le
thhoda thhoda pyaar dai de
dil tu humaar lai le

Tujhe kiya o kitna mana (Jaalsaaz)(1969) Singers-Suman Kalyanpur, Krishna Kalle, Lyrics-Anjaan, MD-G S Kohli

Lyrics

tujhe kiya o kitna mana
chori chori ye tera dekhna
hoy
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye

tujhe kiya o kitna mana
chori chori ye tera dekhna
hoy
uyi allah sab log samjh gaye
uyi allah sab log samjh gaye

bindiya hanse lajaaye kajra
bairi kangna khanke
aa ha
laakh chhupaaya phir bhi khul gaye
bhed ye saare man ke
aa aa
teri nazar to daga kar gayi ee
teri kasam main to mar gayi
duniya ye saari muskaaye haaye
dil mera sharam se dooba jaaye haaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye

tujhe kiya o kitna mana
chori chori ye tera dekhna
haaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye

dekh ke tujhko dil dhadke
bin dekhe raha na jaaye
aa ha
dil ki haalat aisi ho to
kya koi samjhaaye
aa aa aa
tere bina kahin karaar nahin
o tera koi aitbaar nahin
kyu mujhe itna sataaye
haay julmi re
kyun aise tadpaaye haay
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye

tujhe kiya o kitna mana
chori chori ye tera dekhna
haaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye
uyi allah sab log samajh gaye

This is a song from film Jaalsaaz-59. This film was made at a time when Kishore Kumar as a Comedian Hero was in his Top form and people used to go to theatres only to watch his antics and listen to the songs sung by him. Little importance was given by moviegoers to the, plot or histrionics in a Kishore Kumar film. There were other artists and movies to take care of good acting and good storylines, whereas Kishore Kumar movies offered something different, namely good laughs and entertainment, paisa-vasool style !

1959 was the busiest year in the career of music director N Dutta. That year, seven films with music composed by him, were released. (Six of these films are already represented in this blog. ‘Naach Ghar’ is one film that is awaiting entry here). And the music of these films is notable and still remembered – films like ‘Black Cat’, ‘Dhool Ka Phool’, ‘Didi’, ‘Bhai Bahen’, ‘Mr. John’, and ‘Jaalsaaz’.

“Jaalsaaz” (1959) is a forgotten movie by now. But its songs were quite nice to listen to. If these songs are not known to many then it is the loss of the listeners.
