“Saagar-1951” was directed by P. Jairaj for P.J. Films Unit his home productions. It had Nargis, Jairaj, Bharat Bhushan, K.N. Singh, Veera, David, Durga Khote, Banke, Rajni, Krishna, Vimla, Neelam, Cecil, Bindu and others. HFGK Vol-III (1951-1960) mentions that this movie was passed by Censor Board on 02.06.1951.

The MD was Premnath and the songs were written by Manohar Khanna (father of Music Director Usha Khanna), Neelkanth Tiwari and Ram Murthy. The cast included Surendra, Nirupa Roy, Trilok Kapoor, Usha kiran, Parshuram, Rajni, Ameerbai, Child artiste Master Vinod (who became a Hero in his adulthood, known as Vinod Mehra) and others.
