Hmm, at last I started writing my first blog. I was thinking of doing this for a long, long time. Ever since I came to know about a very benevolent soul who lets all who want to write, to write on his blog. It is so sweet of him, I used to think. But didn’t do it for various reasons. Most of all, my laziness. Now I have shook off my laziness and am presenting my thoughts ….. Hope Atulites don’t mind it (provided of course Atul finds my writing worthy enough to be published). Published, oh that is a big word to use. My first publication, if and when that happens, I will be flying in air like the girl in the song I am discussing here. Now, please don’t ask me how else one can fly, one can only fly in air. 🙂

This, and many more such wonderful ghazals and geets have come from the pen of this talented poet, who was equally at home with the adbi shaayari in chaste Urdu, and the songs that he wrote in unsullied Hindi for the many religious and historical films that he wrote for.
