Naazuk naazuk badan moraa

Reading the line of the lyrics “naazuk naazuk badan moraa” did not ring any bells for me, but when I listened to the song, then it rang began to ring quite loudly. I had listened to this song during my younger days, some four decades ago. And I was not aware of any details of this song. In fact I was nnot even aware of the lyrics of the song. Most Hindi movie songs last for three to four minutes, but the lonngest songs often last two and even three times the durations of the normal length songs. These long songs are mostly qawwaalis. The qawwalis may last considerably, but they hold the listeners spell bound with their lyrics.

There are people who preach us to save for a rainy day. If you talk to me about saving for a rainy day,I will reel off the list of songs picturised on a rainy day to try and prove that rainy days are as much fun as sunny days. If one does not save for a sunny day, then why should one do so for a rainy day ? One should instead enjoy rainy days by getting drenched in the rain instead of hiding indoors. Next thing you know, the same people may ask us to save for a moonlit night saying that nights are for going to bed !
