There are many songs that sound so nice once you listen to them. But all that effect is lost when one watches the picturisation, since the picturisation shows lack of imagination as well as lack of ability on the part of the movie makers. As a result, the movie, as well as the song is consigned to the dustbin of history.

I have talked about Rafi singing brilliant songs for Shammi Kapoor. This led to many imitators, who would make Shammi Kapoor movies by signing up Shammi Kapoor clones. Thus we had actors like Joy Mukherjee, Vishwajeet etc who had reasonably successful careeres playing Shammi Kapoor type roles.
