In most cases, the reel life that actors essayed on screen had little resemblance with their real lives. But in some cases, viz for Guru Dutt and Meena Kumari, their real lives followed their reel lives. Both of them played melancholic roles towards the later half of their careers, and their real lives proved to be no different. In fact, they both had tragic melancholic ends to their lives.
