This song is a wonderful fun song from the film Khel (1950). And a fitting finale, too. Of the nine songs in this film, eight are already posted here on this blog. This is the ninth song that is rare and obscure, so much so that it has not been posted on the internet yet. In the write up for the eighth song of this film published on this blog “Kahe Mujhse Jawaani Mere Dil Ki Kahaani” , Atul ji has mentioned that the one last song is yet to be discovered. That was almost two weeks ago. On searching through my collection, I am now able to locate this song; and it is now posted on YouTube.

I have mentioned in the past that I intend to discuss all Sajjad Hussain songs in this blog that I could locate. Out of about 100 Hindi movie songs that Sajjad Hussain composed in his career, I have already discussed 27 songs. Searching for the remainder of the songs is turning out to be rather more difficult than expected (or perhaps I should have expected that) because many of the songs are quite obscure (as are the movies that these songs belong to). Even the information pertaining to these songs is difficult to find.

Sajjad Hussain was a music director who could create amazing music but his ability to make enemies meant that he got very few opportunities to showcase his abilities as a music director. He composed only about one hundred songs in 14 movies. He was described by Anil Biswas as the only original music director in Hindi movies. Coming from Anil Biswas, it is very high praise indeed !
