Manna Dey yet again gets to sing a song for a bit actor (Agha this time). And as usual, Manna Dey gives his best in the song. The song may not have won too many popularity contests those days, but for music aficionadoes, this song remains a Manna Dey classic.

Manna Dey was often called upon to sing (a) either for bit actors or (b) difficult songs. Additionally these songs ended up being picturised on bit actors and/ or as comedy songs though Manna Dey would sing these songs with full seriousness.

Meena Kumari is regarded as the first great tragedy queen of Bollywood movies. But in reality that crown rightfully belongs to Nutan. Nutan had begun playing tragic roles as early as 1955 when Meena Kumari was still playing happy bubbly roles.

“Anubhav”, a by now forgotten “art” movie released in 1971 had some nice songs that have become forgotten as well. In fact, most of these songs did not become popular even in 1971. In fact, I never had the opportunity of listening to most of the songs from this movie except one.
