Today’s song is from the 1973 movie ‘Phir Aayaa Toofaan’. It was directed by B.J. Patel for People Pictures, Bombay. This movie was produced by Dhanpatrai. One song from this movie was presented by me earlier in 2023 as a part of the ‘missing movies of 1973’, on the occasion of movies that were completing fifty years of their release.
I have no recollections of this movie whatsoever. This seems to be a lesser known movie. But this movie is available on internet and those interested can watch it there.

The cast included Randhawa and Malika in lead roles supported by Kamal Mehra, Mumtaz, Aruna Irani, Saudagar Singh, Shyam Kumar, Joginder, Hercules, Polson, Tun Tun, Rajmala, Meenaxi, Shakila Banu Bhopali, Jagdish Kamal, Samson, Jagdeep etc. During the making of this film, Randhawa and Malika fell in love with each other. Eventually, they got married in 1968.

The combination of Producer Dhanpat Rai and director B J Patel is known for their stunt/action genre of films. This combination has produced as many as 14 films in this genre beginning with ‘Silver King’ (1957) to their last film, ‘Phir Aaya Toofaan’ (1973). Most of the actors in their films had been those who can be identified with stunt/action films. The hero and heroines in their films may not be common but some of the characters actors in their films such as Nilofer, Rajan Kapoor, Habib, Vishwa Mehra, Master Bhagwan, Dalpat, Mirajkar, Babu Raje etc were repeated in most of their films.
