“Neelkamal” (1947) was produced and directed by Kidar Sharma. The movie had Raj Kapoor and Madhubala in lead roles. The movie also had Begam Para, Nazira, Rajendra, Shanta Kumari, Baby Indira, Kumar Sahu , Pesi Patel, Subhashini etc in it.

This song is sung by Mukesh and a female voice that I am unable to identify. The song is picturised on a bearded man playing a gyaani/ fakeer and tqo ladies, one of them being a very young Madhubala who lip syncs in the unidentified female voice. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on the picturisation of this song as well as on the identity of the female singer.
Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar who gave music in this movie under the name of B Vasudev.

Today, I also discussed this song with Harish Raghuvanshi ji.
Harish ji has clearly confirmed that the femal voices in this song are not one but two. The voices are of Geeta Roy and Rajkumari.
