Today (1 august) is the birth anniversary of Meena Kumari ( 1 august 1932- 31 march 1972). It is unimaginable to realise that she did not even reach the age of 40 ! She achieved so much in her brief stay in this world and she went on to become a legend.

Today (22 july) is the birthday of Mukesh. This gives us an opportunity to dedicate the day for some as yet undiscussed Mukesh songs.
Mukesh had a singing career that began in 1941 with “Nirdosh” (1941) and he had a playback career lasting 26 years till he died in 1976. During his career, he sang around 800 songs in Hindi movies. We in this blog have already discussed 452 of them. So we are already more than halfway there.
