Laxmikant Pyarelal had dabbled into Goan folk music while composing music for “Bobby”. That “Bobby” song was “Na maangoon sona chaandi, na maangoon heera moti”. They used the same tune in another song of that era, viz “Daaru ki bottle mein saahab paani bharta hai” from an Amitabh Bachchan movie called Majboor.

“Kasauti” was a movie with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead. The movie flopped badly. But there was one song in this movie that became very popular those days.
