“Half Ticket” was a laugh riot featuring Kishore Kumar and Pran. The movie had a heroine too, but I am not able to recall her name, that is how Kishore and Pran centric this movie was. Pran would for ever be after Kishore Kumar much like cartoon characters Tom and Jerry ( or replace their names by any other set of cartoon characters).
While Pran is in hot pursuit of Kishore Kumar, the duo manage to sing a few songs as well. Here is a funny song. In this song, Kishore Kumar is dressed like a woman, and Pran is out to “woo” the woman. They sing this song in the process of wooing and getting wooed.
Kishore Kumar has given the playback not only for the the lady that he plays, but for the gentle (?)man Pran too. Normal Kishore Kumar voice is used to sing for Pran whereas Kishore Kumar employs a high pitched voice to sing for the “lady”.

I have never heard this song before, but what a laugh riot! The video is also delightful. I have seen another Kishore Kumar song, in which he does both the male and female voices himself, and does half his face like a woman’s, and turns from one side to the other while singing alternately like a man and a woman. Does anyone know this song?
Kishore Kumar was one of the most versatile people ever, he could sing/dance/act/direct; do everything as a matter of fact.

Thanks very much Atul, this was my farmaish – and now everyone know why! How about another one in the ‘cross-dressing’ category : Subhanallah Haseen Chehra by Mohd Rafi from Kashmir Ki Kali. Poor Pran is the victim in this one too..

The heroine in the movie Half Ticket was Madhubala. As for the other song mentioned by Lalitha, It’s from the movie Ladka-Ladki. The song is “Suniye Suniye aajkal ki ladkiyon ka programme “
