“Jeene Ki raah” had some very popular songs sung by Rafi. I have already posted one song from this movie.
Here is another song from this movie.The story of this movie revolved around Tanuja who was confined to a wheelchair and she was undergoing the process of slow recuperation in the movie for much of the time.
In this song, a few dancers perform,while Jeetendra and Tanuja watch them. And as often happens in Bollywood movie songs where the lead actors are the bystanders rather than the participants, they would start day dreaming that they too are participating in the song.
So Tanuja day dreams that she is dancing in this song alongwith Jeetendra.Thus the song and dance gets “hijacked” by the lead pair while they should have been just watching instead.
Towards the end of the song, Tanuja actaually stands up and starts dancing.We already knew about the beneficial effects of music, did not we ? This picturisation proves that Laxmikant Pyarelal’s dance music has therepeutic properties that could hasten the recovery of a person confined to a wheelchair.
