Here is another example of a C grade forgettable movie yielding an iconic song.
The movie is called “Changez Khan” (1957) and few people remember this movie. But this song “muhabbat zinda rahti hai, muhabbat mar nahin sakti” is one that is known to everyone.
Sung by Rafi, this song was written by Qamar Jalalabadi and its music was composed by Hansraj Bahl.

This song is held in very high esteem by Rafians . I don’t think any singer other than Rafi Sahib could have delivered fifty percent of what our Rafi Sahib did . Alaap and ending are just divine . Hansraj Behalji and Qamar Jalalabadi did an excellent job .

No Comments since March 2009? Yeh gaana to Rafiji ke best gaano me aata hai. I have no doubt so many TRUE LOVERS must have taken courage from this song to make their pious love more stronger. Thanks Atulji for posting this song. My brother’s most favorite song. Only Rafi Saahab can end this song, chali aaa……….. with that high. Miss him so much.
