I have not posted a Mukesh sad song for quite some time. To make amends, here is one such song.
And this song from “My Love” (1970) must certainly be considered as one of the finest songs sung by Mukesh. But then it appears that most of the sad songs ( and other than sad songs as well) sung by Mukesh in any case went on to became popular, such was the pain and pathos that he was able to portray in his sad songs.
This song is written by Anand Bakshi and the music director is Daan Singh. Daan Singh, who did not get too many opportunities to showcase his calibre as a music director had composed some very fine songs in this movie., one of which has already been posted in this blog earlier.
This song was picturised on Shashi Kapoor.

Today we remember Mukesh ji on the blog !!
(For me its still 22/07 here)
On the blog we have dedicated posts in remembrance of Mukesh ji and on the ‘whatsapp’ group too we have messages remembering Mukesh ji.
I thought I should go through his songs that I liked (not in order of which I liked most), so here I go …
I like this song very much and listen to it many times specially since 1996 (I think) when the other song ‘kahin karti hogi’ was discussed due to it’s remixed version ( if I am correct) …
