“Gaban” (1966) is a movie that is not remembered much today, but it had a few nice songs. The iconic song “ehsaan mere dil pe tumhaara hai doston” is a song from this movie.

Marvelous composition with sitar interludes. Over a period of time, the base of the mujra song has changed from Thumri to semi-classical.

I feel the lyrics as provided by you for the song need following corrections:
“tumhaai” appearing at several places should be replaced with “tumhari”.
2nd stanza, 3rd and 4th lines: the word used here with “bijlee” is tadke” and not “kadke”.
3rd stanza, 1st and 2nd lines: “jara” should be corrected as “zara”.
3rd stanza, 1st and 2nd lines: “tarf” should be written as “taraf”, as in 2nd line of song.
