Here is a fun song from a movie called “Bewaqoof” (1960). In this movie Kishore Kumar and Pran are seen monkeying around.
Kishore Kumar sings for himself whereas Manna Dey sings for Pran. This must be the first song that Manna Dey sang for Pran. The better known song “Kasme waade pyaar wafaa” from “Upkaar” and “Yaar hai imaan mera ” from “Zanjeer” came much later.
This song is written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and S D Burman was the music director.

i had the good fortune to see this movie yesterday with my dad on ZEE classic. god the movie was one Bakwas movie in the opinion of my 72year old dad and mind u he had seen it in the year it released. and he was of the view that in those days (like now) there used to be a minimal number of gr8 movies and baaki sab bakwas movies which wud end all of a sudden etc.
of course i laughed through it.
also i saw this song where-in I S Johar with Sabita Chatterji has a riotous song which mentions Uttam Kumar-Suchitra Sen and one other gr8 of bengali films of that time. also the next stanza mentions all the grbs of tamil films of that era.
