Kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekhkar bairaagi ban gaye

on:“Sholay” was the biggest blockbuster hit of Bollywood when it was released in 1975 ? It was produced by G P Sippy.
Here is a quiz. What is the name of the next G P Sippy movie ? Those who said “Shaan” are wrong. It is not “Shaan”, but ‘Ahsaas” (1979) which was a quicky teenage love story, made with unknown faces, with big name guest artists. No one knows who these teenagers were, and evn the publicity banners showed the guest artists, viz Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Shammi Kapoor etc in the posters.
The movie sank without a trace, and very deservingly so.
Some songsof this movie, though managed to rise about the mediocrity of the movie. Kishore kumar was the male singer for the hero (no idea who the hero was) andf he came up with some superb songs. I have posted ‘Sapnon ke shahar ham banaayenge ghar” from this movie already. Here is another nice Kishore Kumar song from this movie. It is written by Indeewar, and Bappi Lahiri (in his pre “Disco” avatar) is the music director.
It is a very nice song to listen to.

Song-Kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke (Ahsaas) (1979) Singer-Kishore Kumar, Lyrics-Indeewar, MD-Bappi Lahiri
Lyrics
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
bairaagi dekh ke tujhe anuraagi ban gaye
anuraagi ban gaye, ban gaye re
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
honthon pe aag liye, saanson mein raag liye
honthon pe aag liye, saanson mein raag liye
kisko dasne tu chali zulfon ke naag liye
kisko dasne tu chali zulfon ke naag liye
ho ho
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
bairaagi dekh ke tujhe anuraagi ban gaye
anuraagi ban gaye, ban gaye re
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
rab ka nazaaraa badan pyaar se ye pyaaraa badan
rab ka nazaaraa badan pyaar se ye pyaaraa badan
dil kahe jeewan dekar le loon tumhaaraa badan
dil kahe jeewan dekar le loon tumhaaraa badan
ho ho
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye
bairaagi dekh ke tujhe anuraagi ban gaye
anuraagi ban gaye, ban gaye re
kitne Raanjhe tujhe dekh ke bairaagi ban gaye

Atul
SORRY,
I have requested 2 kishore`s songs of “Ahsaas(1979)” on my farmaish two days ago, without checking(in my excitement) with your list.
But the video of “sapnon ke shehar” and “kitne raanjhe tujhe” is available in Youtube,(but the content is more or less adult).
The name of new faces are “Parvez and Dina”,
I have written regarding two more songs from this same film. One by Lata(“Rooto na….”)and one superb song by Asha bhosle(picturised on Parvex and Late Simple kapadia) (“Kuch khone ko dil karta hai”). I hope you will excuse me for my
mistake.
regards,
prakash

Like I have mentioned elsewhere, I loved the songs of Ahsaas. Far worse songs have been hyped much more than the sweet, romantic songs of this movie.
I am very happy, Atul, that you are bringing these songs out now to a broader audience.
