Baawli banaa ke chhodaa

Posted on: February 4, 2011

I have discussed three songs from “Parivaar” (1956) in the past, and these three songs were nice songs of different genre. Here is another song from this movie belonging to yet another genre/category.

Those three songs were sung by four singers viz Lata, Kishore Kumar, Hemant Kumar and Manna Dey. This song is sung by yet another singer, viz Asha Bhonsle.

This song is picturised on Sabita Chatterji who is seen singing this song addressing Asim Kumar. Shailendra is the lyricist and music is composed by Salil Chaudhary.

Lyrics

aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa

baawli banaa ke chhodaa
haay teri preet ne
baawli banaa ke chhodaa
haay teri preet ne re
maane
maane na maane
main to teri deewaani
baawli banaa ke chhoda

sapnon mein aaye gaye
pyaar jataayaa
sapnon mein aaye
sapnon mein aaye gaye
pyaar jataayaa
din mein bhikaaran bani
raat ki raani
din mein bhikaaran bani
raat ki raani
maane na maane
main to teri deewaani
baawli banaa ke chhoda
haay teri preet ne
baawli banaa ke chhoda

dekhne waale dekh rahe hain
jaanane waale jaan gaye hain
kiski lagi mein jale meri jawaani
meri jawaani
maane na maane
main to teri deewaani
baawli banaa ke chhoda
haay teri preet ne
baawli banaa ke chhoda

meri tumhaari sainyya
preet puraani
meri tumhaari
meri tumhaari sainyya
preet puraani
ek ek pal ki hai ek kahaani
ek ek pal ki hai ek kahaani
maane na maane
main to teri deewaani
baawli banaa ke chhoda
haay teri preet ne
baawli banaa ke chhoda
haay teri preet ne re
maane
maane na maane
main to teri deewaani
baawli banaa ke chhoda
